In Asia, it is a custom to choose an auspicious date for a special occasion such as wedding. There are several ways that this date is chosen. For example, some people would consult a Fortune Teller or Feng Shui Master by giving them the birth dates and times of the bride and groom and he/she will select the most suitable wedding date for the couple. Others would seek religious leaders at temples for advice. Most people, however, usually refer to the Chinese almanac for auspicious dates.
